iOS too far ahead of the curve :(

So apparently as of iOS7 you might not be able to set your carrier settings, like APN etc depending on the SIM. What this means is you arrive in some country, want to use the SIM you ordered so you can find your way to your hotel. But, you can't because you can't enter the info into your iPhone in order to make the SIM work. You have to find a wifi spot so you can download the settings to your phone since they can't be manually set.

FAIL!

On, and you're only allowed one set of settings at a time so you can't pre-download the settings before you arrive.

Double FAIL!
